Smart Network Equipment Proof-of-Concept Project
 

This Proof-of-Concept project will examine the technical feasibility of using more information from smart network equipment. The pilot will integrate information from disparate systems (COMET systems, NetDisco and smart network equipment) to view the state of the network . This is a two phase project.  The first phase will develop a tool that allows authorized users to see the state of the network as it should be, the state of the network in near realtime, and a history of changes. The second phase will use this information to better provision services.

The results of this project will be used in the development of an Infrastructure Management System (IMS). There are no dependencies between this Proof-of-Concept Project and other projects associated with the IMS.
